Dr. Cherryl Ellison – Dentist Serving Ravenna, Seattle
Dr. Cherryl Ellison brings 7 years of clinical experience to every patient relationship — and a genuine belief that dentistry should be built around honesty, not pressure. Originally from Indiana and trained at Indiana University, she built her clinical foundation in Vermont before relocating to Seattle and opening Green Lake Cosmetic Dentistry in 2025. She’s a member of both the Spear and Seattle Study Clubs, which keeps her current on the techniques and evidence that actually move the needle for patients.

Start with a new patient exam. It takes about an hour, gives us a complete baseline picture of your oral health, and sets up the relationship so that every future visit is faster and more productive. Dr. Ellison will review your history, do a full clinical assessment, take any necessary X-rays, and walk you through exactly what she finds. If anything needs attention, she'll explain your options and let you decide how to proceed — there's no obligation to commit to any treatment at that first visit.
A few things stand out: we don't overbook, so your appointment starts on time. Dr. Ellison sees each patient herself — you're not handed off between providers depending on what you need. And she explains everything in plain language, including what can wait and why, so you leave actually understanding your oral health rather than just nodding along. If you have X-rays or records from a previous dentist, we're happy to take a look — but we'll also take our own if needed to get a current picture.
We work with a number of major PPO plans including Delta Dental, Premera Blue Cross, Cigna, and MetLife, among others. Whether or not we're in-network with your specific plan, we'll verify your benefits before your appointment so there are no surprises at checkout. For patients without dental coverage, our in-house membership plan covers two cleanings, two exams, and needed X-rays per year for $36/month, with discounts on additional treatment.
It's more common than you might think, and it's not something we judge. The longer gap between visits, the more likely it is that we'll find a few things to address — but catching them now is still far better than waiting longer. Dr. Ellison approaches returning patients with patience and practicality: she'll prioritize what's genuinely urgent, explain what can be phased over time, and help you build a plan that makes financial and logistical sense. Most patients who come back after a long gap leave relieved that it wasn't as bad as they feared.
We're located at 8018 Aurora Ave N, which is roughly a 5–10 minute drive from Roosevelt depending on traffic. You can also take the 5 or E Line bus south on Aurora, or the Link Light Rail to Green Lake and transfer from there. There's on-site parking available if you're driving.
